Rehabilitation Therapy Options
At Grandview Medical Center, we offer comprehensive rehabilitation services designed to help you regain your independence and get back to the life you love.
Aquatic therapy takes place in a pool and is designed to be gentle on your joints. Aquatic therapy uses resistance of water instead of weights to heal, strengthen and create endurance. At Grandview Medical Center, our aquatic therapy programs work to increase your circulation, range of motion, balance, coordination, and muscle tone.
The Grandview Medical Center occupational therapists work with patients to improve strength, flexibility, endurance and tolerance after an injury or illness, with the goal of becoming independent. Our occupational therapy program focuses on helping patients with personal hygiene, eating, dressing, going to the bathroom, kitchen safety, meal prep and homemaking.
After injury or illness, physical therapy helps patients get back to their lives. Grandview Medical Center’s experienced physical therapists work with doctors and nurses to create programs that improve movement, balance, endurance and strength for patients, helping them move—onward, upward and forward.
Grandview Medical Center offers a number of speech therapy services with a wide variety of techniques and programs designed to help people communicate better. We consider treatment a collaboration. That’s why our experienced therapy staff works with physicians, dietitians and nurses to evaluate patients’ swallowing function and recommend safe feeding tactics when needed.
