Bryant Promoted to COO of Grandview Medical Center

BIRMINGHAM, AL (Oct. 10, 2017) — Justin O. Bryant has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Grandview Medical Center. Bryant succeeds Drew Mason who was recently promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer at Grandview.
Bryant was named Assistant Chief Executive Officer of the medical center in 2015. Since that time, he has been responsible for many operational activities including serving as operations chief for patient move day, evaluating and acquiring new technology platforms to aid in communications, information technology, productivity management, major patient care initiatives, emergency services, the development of key service lines, and management responsibility for Grandview ancillary support services.

He demonstrates clinical expertise across this institution’s most important service lines and his leadership is valued greatly by our physicians and clinical leaders,” said Drew Mason, Chief Executive Officer of Grandview Medical Center. “Justin understands our passion to provide the highest quality patient experience at the bedside. He is an asset to our physicians and clinical staff and a significant part of our success today and will continue to play an important part in our future success.”
In his new role, Bryant will be responsible for procedural, ancillary and clinical support services at Grandview. He will serve as the operations support link to nursing services working closely with the Chief Nursing Officer and the nursing managers across the Grandview service lines.
Prior to joining Grandview, Bryant served as an Administrative Specialist at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL. He also has five years of experience in a clinical setting as a staff nurse in CVR/CVSU.
A native of Birmingham, Bryant graduated from Hoover High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University in 2005. He holds three degrees from UAB - a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, a master’s degree in Business Administration, and a master’s degree in Health Administration.
Bryant serves on the Alabama Hospital Association’s Telehealth Task Force and is on the Board of Directors for The Bell Center for Early Intervention Programs in Birmingham. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
