10th Anniversary
We’re celebrating an important milestone this year at Grandview Health. Grandview Medical Center opened its doors in 2015, and we’ve been dedicated to moving healthcare forward in Greater Birmingham ever since.
It’s hard to believe that at one time many residents in Shelby and southern Jefferson counties didn’t have easy access to a hospital. Relocating what was then Trinity Medical Center to our current location along the 280 corridor created a needed option for healthcare and fueled even more economic development and growth in this area. Thanks to the vision and tenacity of many community and hospital leaders, Grandview Medical Center has proudly served our community and expanded healthcare services for 10 years now.
Throughout 2025, we are celebrating Grandview’s growth and impact. Following are just a few examples of the cumulative community impact since October 10, 2015:
- We have provided more than $1.5B in salary and benefits to our team members.
- We have contributed more than $321M in taxes to support local infrastructure and civic priorities.
- We are providing care for more patients. Inpatient admissions have more than doubled, from 11,523 in 2015 to almost 28,000 in 2023.
Our growth would not be possible without you entrusting us with your care. Learn more about how we’re always keeping quality care at the forefront.
